GOSSIP GIRL

Last 2 weeks.

I'm back in Singapore,

got back on sat morning.

I just realised today

that I have very little

time left in Singapore.

And I've got so many things to do.

But it's good that way,

I prefer to be busy everyday

than waste time lazing

around the house

doing nothing.

Feeling abit nervous.

But I know it's nothing

compared to how

my friends would be feeling

about the posting results

which release this Friday.

My school is starting soon.

I'm going to buy my textbooks

one of these days.

So originally the subjects

I wanted to take in trinity

were Chem, Bio, Maths 1 and psych.

But for the sake of

getting close to full marks

for my trinity year,

I might take Maths 2

instead of Bio.

Reason being it's impossible

to score full marks for sciences,

while on the other hand

I might be able

to get full marks

for maths.

If I want to get into Med,

I need as close to full marks

as possible.

But Bio would be interesting

for me I think...

I'm in a dilemma.

I want to get the sony T700 camera.

It looks so nice!!

I want it NOW.

time flies, I'm almost home.

Been so busy

the past few days.

Huei's parents are here,

so we've been going out everyday.

Going out to eat

and going house hunting.

Went to see so many houses,

so tiring...

I'm flying back tonight!!!

Can't believe 3 weeks

has already passed.

Just about 2 more weeks

and I'm going to start school =D

So exciting.

I seldom look forward

to the start of school.

So besides going out to eat

and see houses,

we went to watch

WICKED

on Sunday night.

It's awesome,

this was  the second time

I watched it.

First time was at broadway

in December.

Their songs are really good,

it's so enjoyable,

I could watch it

over and over again.

Wish I could

sing like all of the cast =D.

I think I did okay.

Not exceptional though...

I wanted single digits,

but well,

this is fine.

A1 for English!

A1 for E Math (no surprise)

This one I'm really disappointed,

A2 for AMATHS...

I expected it though,

made careless mistakes.

A2 for chemistry, improvement.

B3 for physics.

B3 for Geog AND

B3 for combined humanities!!

My humanities improved

from a 6 and 8,

to 3 and 3!! =D

Really happy about that.

These marks don't matter

at all though,

I've already got

my place in trinity college.

Don't feel like typing much now,

will blog more tomorrow.

Today we went to Jem's church.

Reach Community Church.

It's a small church,

much like THOP.

I'll probably join that church.

So after church,

we drove to williamstown for fish & chips!

Had oysters too,

fresh oysters with lemon,

damn shiok!!

Then went to westfield to shop

and then we went home.

Had a late dinner today

as we snacked too much

in the afternoon.

It's just so nice

to have something to munch on

while downloading songs.

I took alot of songs

from KJ today.

I now have 2000+ songs =D.

I think I'm going

to use my old ipod

to store songs,

my iphone would run out

of space really soon.

Gotto sleep now, it's 12.21am.

It's saturday, 1.15pm.

We're supposed to go yam cha,

but I don't think we're going now.

3 of us are just

lazing around,

still in our pajamas,

all using our macbooks.

The two cats

are outside the balcony,

in the bright sun.

We should be going out soon.

We are soo lazy!

This only concerns one person, and it's most probably not you!

I didn't know you felt like that, I'm just not used it. You have to tell me these things directly. I joke alot  and maybe sometimes you can't tell when I'm kidding. I don't get offended easily, so don't worry too much. I'm fine and I didn't even know you felt angry till I read it. I'm really sorry. I'm probably a little insensitive towards these things, I'll try to notice more.

I would tell you the above things later but I just got to put it down now. Now that I know, I feel really bad. Sorry.

Have not been doing much.

Haven't go shopping yet,

huei's father left,

so now it's just me, huei and KJ.

I think huei really misses him,

I'll probably be like that too,

would miss my parents alot.

So I've got to start learning

to be independent!

First few days

Alright, melbourne has been

really nice so far.

Have been enjoying myself.

Went all around

the past few days.

Eating alot!

Bet I put on weight already.

Need to go running soon.

O level results are coming out soon,

I don't feel nervous at all,

probably cos I'm already here lol.

I just want to get at most

13 points and I'll be satisfied.

I think can right??

I'll be damn sad

if my results come out

and I find out I did

like super badly...

So today was Shu's

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.

Over here she would be known

as shu and not huei hahaha.

Damn funny la,

I'm not supposed

to be there at all,

but I just tagged along =D.

Majority of the people

doing the january extended

are like from Indonesia.

Only huei and another

girl are from singapore.

There some china people too.

Today is Christmas day!

Last night went for my aunties memorial

at one of my cousin's house.

It was like a christmas party also.

It was so fun,

so many Neo's were there,

like almost everyone was present.

Marc got his new macbook pro haha

its quite nice

but too big for my liking.

Went church today,

christmas service!

Felt like santa claus,

got so many presents

for various people.

So church today was really full!

First time was our church filled up

with so many people haha.

Service was quite fun,

all the ministries 

presented different items

like songs etc.

After service had lunch in church

and then went to watch movie!

Watched Australia,

it's the longest movie I've ever watched,

about THREE HOURS.

But it was quite

a nice movie overall

although it's really long.

After the movie went town awhile

then I went to aunty doreen's

house for christmas dinner (mother's side one).

Drank vodka mixed with

7-up and abit of lemon.

Uncle jim brought the wine

was damn nice!

He kept it for like

more than 10 years or something.

really nice to drink =D

Now I'm back home,

NOT DRUNK

and abit tired.

Christmas eve is tomorrow!

It so doesn't even

feel like christmas is near.

Well I'm leaving Singapore

really really soon.

I think it's the long

overseas holidays I had,

Stucked

So I've been stuck

in my aunties house

since before lunch till now.

My dad is now eating dinner,

should be going home soon.

Been so bored.

Only brought one book

with me,

finished it sometime after lunch.

So just watched tv

and lazed on the sofa.

I like cartoons,

Tom and Jerry is my favourite =D

I got up at 6.30 today

due to jet-lag,

slept at 10+ though,

so I did have enough sleep.

It's just so nice to get up

and run in the morning.

It's so cooling.

Haha today was the first time

I exercised since japan.

So I loved new york.

I'm going to sound like a girl,

I love shopping there!!

It was sooo cheap.

Bought so many clothes.

I spent alot too,

but I don't feel guilty!

All the stuff I bought was

really really worth it

cos there were big sales

in all the expensive shops.

I bought a kate spade  bag

for my mum,

she liked it alot,

so that got me off scoldings

for spending more than 1000 dollars,

on my trip. (bear in mind it's US dollars)

Bought my dad a ralph lauren shirt

and jacket.

He doesn't like

the jacket though...

so it looks like 

I'll have to take it ;D (another jacket for me!!)

Bought lots of t-shirts

not only for myself,

but christmas presents

for my cousins.

And kelvin clein pants were

fifteen dollars =D

So happy haha.

Got high on shopping man.

Watched the musical of wicked

while I was in new york.

It's really good!

I love watching shows.

I'm trying to convince

my parents to go new york

for holiday next year.

Haha just got back from

my holiday and

I'm already planning my

next trip,

SHOPSHOPSHOP

LA and Vegas briefly.

Flight to LA,

through Tokya/Narita.

I hate united airlines.

Delayed 5+ hours in tokyo!

Can you believe it...

bloody waste of time.

So three nights in LA.

Disneyland was just okay,

but universal studios rock!

It was really interesting,

liked it alot.

Then off to vegas by coach zzz.

Took bout 4 hours.

Stayed in Luxor hotel,

wasn't too bad,

quite good actually.

Only had about

one full day in vegas,

so we just walked around

in the hotels along the strip.

The weather had been

quite nice so far,

LA was warmer than vegas,

could go out with just

one jacket on.

After two nights in vegas,

flew to dina's place at new haven!

The damn plane got delayed

AGAIN!

About a 4 hour delay....

So new haven is much colder.

Was actually supposed to snow

while I am here.

Maybe it'll snow the day after.

Arrived at new haven past 11.

Next morning,

we were supposed to go on a tour,

but the weather sucked,

it was raining =(.

So really cold,

not god to go for a tour.

Went to the mall instead,

I bought lots of stuff!

Mostly clothes though haha.

It's is so cheap and

it looks damn nice,

much better than singapore.

I love A&F, hollister and american eagle.

Got back awhile ago,

went to eat pizza.

Going to new york tomorrow!

Watching wicked on broadway.

My Japan post

This post is way overdue,

been delaying it

cos I know it's gonna

be tiring.

I won't upload photos here,

Had alot of trouble

having to pick out 60 photos

for each album out of the

TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN

photos we took.

So day 1 in Japan.

We landed and went outside

to wait for our bus.

Everyone was so excited

about the vending machines,

got so many things haha.

So we boarded the bus,

about a 1 hour bus ride

to Nishinomiya.

Aunty Norizah and Uncle Bruno picked us up

from the bus bay.

Their cars are so nice!

Both sporty cars =D

So we went to their house to

drop the luggage.

Then we went to an Udon shop

near their house for lunch.

I had tempura Udon!

After lunch we went sightseeing.

Walked quite alot.

Went to the Sake museum,

saw how they made sake last time.

And as a gift we each

got a bottle of sake.

(We told the person everyone was a university student except for Mathew, so I got my bottle too ;D)

Then we went to the sake shop,

so everyone bought sake.

We started walking back home.

Walked through a big temple/shrine

as a shortcut.

Just so happened that it was a day

where the 3, 5 and 7 year old kids

went to the temple to get blessings.

So they were all dressed up,

all so cute,

they were kimono's

and there were stalls like a funfair

in the grounds.

For dinner we went to a

chicken yakitori place.

Was damn good!

Ate alot,

and drank.

The sake was damn strong,

felt lightheaded as we were

walking back after dinner.

The 2nd day.

It was raining,

hate the rain,

made things cold and wet...

We went to kyoto.

Just walked around,

there were small shops,

quite nice haha.

Went to some small restaurent

for lunch,

it was in an alley.

The food pretty good.

Then we started walking again,

up some hill,

supposedly to see a big temple.

Stopped somewhere halfway up

to have dessert.

It was a mochi shop.

It started raining so heavily

that we didn't want to continue.

Instead we left the area

and went to some big shopping centre

to shop.

Unfortunately,

most of the shops sold

foreign and expensive brands...

Nobody bought anything lol.

For dinner we went to

a supermarket!!

Haha we bought our dinner

at the supermarket,

so cool,

never done that before.

Bought their already

cooked food,

like the pork cutlet and stuff.

Their potato krokae is damn good.

We were off to kinosaki

on our third day.

Packed our bags for 2 nights,

we were going to the hot springs =D

2 hour + train ride to kinosaki,

played games on my phone

and listened to music.

Their trains have toilets,

unlike our MRT.

The place was really nice,

our rooms had no beds!

It's more like just one room.

In the daytime there would be

a table in the middle,

and when we went for dinner,

the cleaners would come in

and push the table to one side

and unroll the mattress.

We had to change into our yukatas,

it's like a bath robe haha.

We would be wearing those

for as long as we stayed there.

No need for our normal clothes.

Didn't really know what

to expect about the

japanese baths.

Have to go naked one leh!

You only have one small towel

which you use to clean yourself.

Luckily guys are not so shy,

and hey,

everyone's doing it,

it's normal.

Never felt so clean in my life,

you can go to the baths

as many times as you like.

So we go as often as we can.

You just can't spend too long

in the water.

You'll get cooked.

Our dinner was huge!

It came as a package when we booked.

The dinner for our first night

revolved around CRAB.

I swear I've eaten enough

crab to last me a year.

We EACH had 

THREE big crabs at least.

Love the pictures we took.

It shows our position

as the dinner progressed.

At the start,

everyone sit so nicely,

legs crossed and the

outer coat was still on.

As we continued,

nobody cared anymore,

legs stretched out

and we took off the outer layer haha.

The sake made everyone

feel hot I think.

We ate for quite

a long time.

The service and decoration

for our dinner was fantastic.

The menu was handwritten!

For each of us,

that means 10 menus.

When the person serving us

was explaining the menu,

she said a bad thing HAHA.

Kani means crab,

and nabei means pot.

So kaninabei naturally means

crab in a pot!!

We laughed so much over this.

Then we went out after dinner.

Went to walk in the town,

but it was RAINING!

We each took an umbrella

and took the hotel bus to the town.

It was quite fun to walk

in the slipper,

it's like on a platform.

So we got off the bus,

and started walking.

Most of the shops

were closed.

Then it started raining

even heavier!

It was getting cold,

sooo...

When the bus turned around,

we flagged it down again! Haha.

8 minutes after we got off,

we were on our way back =D

What a joke lol.

Went back,

took a bath again and slept.

FOURTH DAY! (I'm getting bored typing...)

Went to see the caves and cranes,

go to facebook and see them.

Best part was LUNCH!

Went to the soba town.

They serve soba on small plates.

And the waitress brought

all the small plates to us

on 2 big trays.

Each person was to have

5 plates.

Damn shiok!

50 plates altogether,

I think we could have

managed 50 more ;D

We had a choice of

cracking a raw egg

into the sauce.

It really changes the taste.

Then we went and walked

around in that town.

Ate ice cream!

Had soba ice cream,

the taste was quite good.

Then we went to

some place up a mountain

where you could see a tombolo.

Did alot of funny stuff,

day 4 =D

Went back to the hotel

at about 5+.

Went around kinosaki

and visited the different baths.

We just walked around in our yukatas!

So cool la,

walking around in a bath robe.

(it's the norm)

Our dinner was another

big affair.

No crab today,

had enough of it.

Had all kinds of things,

could hardly finish everything.

The beef was so good!

It melts in your mouth.

They served some salad in a persimmon.

I don't think we were supposed to

eat the persimmon itself

as it was sort of the bowl.

But we ate it!

It was so sweet and juicy,

I bet the waitress got a shock haha.

Hey at least we didn't waste anything ;D

Fifth day onwards.

Not much happened,

we departed from kinosaki

back to aunty norizah's house.

Just went around the neighbourhood

and took the train to nearby places 

to go shopping.

Nothing much to say about it haha.

So this the end of

my japan post.
